"Life is like a box of chocolates, you'll never know what you're gonna get."
It is the most distinguished actor's line from the movie Forrest Dump, which has actually become most people's motto of life.
Finished watching this movie at wee hours today, I felt a pity that I hadn't seen it earlier. It has been known to everyone that it has become the most classical since it was a hit in is time, and I have absolutely long planned to enjoy it. Years passed by but I would always have no time for this kind of pure appreciation until midnight yesterday, when I finally made my mind.
Since entering my college, I have got more chances to enjoy different kinds of movies, and beyond peradventure it has become one of my hobbies.
What's so amazing about life is its unpredictability, you're never gonna guess what's going to happen tomorrow, but do believe that hope is always around the corner...As to the protagonist, Forrest Gump, the mentally-challenged but promising guy, life always seems to produce miracles. Born with low IQ, he's always dispised by his peers, but his mother, a wise forward-looking woman who insists on his going to public school as other nomal children do, always makes her beloved little son believe that he is no different from any other children.
Handicapped but lucky, Forrest has met his woman in life and made his fortune. He has had a narrow escape during the war in Vietnam and been honored the highest award in army. He's also talented for running, military skills and table tennis. So you see, god always gets one door closes, and two others open.
A moron as he is, Forrest Gump achieved far more success than what the normal people could ever imagine. His achievement can be attributed to luck, integrity and the most important of all, the spirit of never giving up.
It's true that I have udergone lots of depression these days, and I can hardly think about it optimistically. After watching Forrest Gump, I have somehow felt some strength from the hero in the movie. I am not stupid enough to think that the legend of Forrest Gump in the movie is gonna resurrect in reality. Movies are movies, which are exquisitely shot to condition our naive mind and somewhat exaggerated, but I firmly believe that what they are to convey us is the true meaning of life. So be true to yourself, that is the basic core.
The past has passed, however tough the road of life forward is, I'm gonna stick it out. Miracle is a shooting star, which will strike on you when you least expect it. I never expect to meet with prosperious success, but I do sincerely hope that life's gonna change a little bit with my hardwork every day, baby step maybe...
The very sentence frequently welling up from my mind is the short line from Dead Poet Socity -- SEIZE THE DAY. And from Forrest I have seized the main idea of being optimistic about adversity, and never succumbing..
