Personal characteristic and experience

As we know, characteristics are considered an inseparable part for us to judge one’s personality. Meanwhile, it also provides us an important clue to distinguish an individual from others. However, from my perspective, the influence on our personality from life experience does not allow us to ignore as well.
Like what I just mentioned above, “characteristic” which are born definitely plays an important role in our personality. Moreover, people calls this specially “heritage”, in other words legacy, which we obtain from our parents or ancestors. With these so called “heritages”, our society became more and more diverse. We could imagine that, if we were born without any “characteristic” in our personality, how could we know our differences from others?

Thus, it is common sense that, time can polish off a lot in our daily life, even our personality. As time goes by, the influence on our personality from our life experience will gradually be the major one, instead of the characteristic we was born with. It is the result of adaption to the society, which means we need to constantly adjust ourselves in order to avoid being kicked out by this fast pacing society. So, due to this, some so called characteristic which can not be accepted by others, need to be abandoned or addressed, for instance, “being cool” is considered a person symbol in school, but it will cause isolation from other colleagues or friends when you enter the society. So, obviously, proper adjustment is necessary.

In conclusion, even though the influence on our personality in our experience is more than the characteristic we were born with, some of our characteristics are needed to be remained, otherwise, there is no difference between us.
