Catch Me if you can---White Collar--Black & White

A cat without any mouse to catch is lonely, while a mouse having no cat to catch is not perfect. Black or white doesn’t seem that important than we used to believe.

Recently I have been watching “White Collar”, the TV series version of the movie “Catch Me If You Can”. What interests me is neither the hot handsome star Matthew Bomer as a white collar criminal or Tim Dekay as a sagacious, charming FBI agent. Of course I have to admit that I was overwhelmed by how awesome and semi-original it appeared. The way it is composed and delivered is profoundly than other shows. But through the lines and the plots, it reminds me of another TV series “Black & White”(痞子英雄).

What these two series share in common is that we can learn from them----There is no absolute right and wrong in the world, and every good guy can find the dark side of himself, every bad guy can be found humanity deep in his heart.

 Just like in the “The Vampire Diaries”, at first we all thought Stefan was a totally good guy who would control his thirsty of drinking blood, while his brother Demon would kill anyone he wanted. Gradually, the revealing plot shows us even good Stefan could be out of his mind, and his brother Demon could be very considerate and sticking to his own principles.

Also, in White Collar, Neal Caffery, the so-called criminal, presents us a brilliant handsome with conscience, kindness and deep love to his ex-girlfriend. Meanwhile, Peter Burke, although upright, also said to Neal, “I work hard, I do my job well, and I don’t have a ten million dollar of mansion in Manhattan, and you wear famous brand, live here, unearned.” All of these seems to tell us that the world is a little bit cruel than imagination. There is no absolute even in FBI, cause in the latter episodes, they found some black sheep in internal FBI.

Is this world really a chaos?

I don’t know. Let’s see “ Black &White”.

Zhou Yumin, used to be a beggar, accidentally was transferred into a cop. He lived a depraved life, flirting with different girls, not being that responsible for his job. Deep inside, he has a beloved girl and his heart is afflicted. Having been involved in a very giant conspiracy, he becomes more and more brave and began to fight for the justice.

Zhao Youting, playing YingXiong, as a very cool and upright policeman, used to think that good cannot coexist with the bad. He fell in love with the daughter of the mob boss, and got involved in the same conspiracy with his partner-Zhou Yumin. When getting more and more closed to the truth, he found himself was the love child of this mob boss, which nearly broke him down. So can you tell exactly who is black, and who is white?

There are many fantastic actor’s lines of this TV series:

1.The deepest darkness often comes from the brightest spot.


2. Real enemies are hidden invisible.


3.The real brightness is the geniture of darkness.



4.Where there is sunshine, there would be shadow.



14.When darkness has a rendezvous with brightness, we will need some courage to face it.






Last but not least, I believe I can stand right in the bright sunshine, and confront my shadow. We all can, right?
